Everything someone new to the 8051 needs to get started.R-31JP is an expanded version of our basic R-31J. We have included a large prototyping area to the board for wire-wrapping your own circuits. The R-31JP accepts 8051 microcontrollers in the 40-pin DIP format including the 80C31, 80C32, 80C51, 80C52, 8052AH with Basic, 83C51, 87C51, DS5000, DS80C320 and the SAB C50x series. Normal operating speed is 11.0592MHz, but other speeds are available to accommodate faster processors.
Reads51, is Rigel Corporation’s Integrated Development Environment for the 8051 8-bit processors. Reads51 includes an editor, a host-to-board communications system, and an assembler. Reads51 is completely rewritten in native 32-bit code to run on Windows 95, 98, 2000 and Windows NT. Reads51 includes a sophisticated project management system to simplify code reusability and version control. The assembler is rewritten to support a full debugger. The debugger allows you to step through your code with breakpoints and variable watches as the compiled code runs on the target board, similar to the operation of an in-circuit emulator.
